On September 22, 2023, the
Department of Science and Technology held the Advisory Council to select
organizations and individuals to implement the project "Application of
remote sensing technology to monitor ocean waste and build an offshore
collection system for the sea area of Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau
province". Mr. Pham Quang Nhat - Director of the Department of Science and

Applying 3D printing technology in production and life (19/08/2023)
On
August 18, the Center for Information and Application of Science and
Technology, Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with Think
Smart Trading and Service Co., Ltd. organized a seminar reporting on the topic
"Trends in applying 3D scanning and printing technology and simulation: product
development solutions from design to manufacturing”
On August 8, 2023, the Department
of Science and Technology of BR-VT province organized an Acceptance Council and
Advisory Council to determine the content and funding of support according to
Resolution No. 06/2020/NQ-HDND, phase 1 of 2023. Attending was Mr. Tran Duy Tam
Thanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Chairman
of the Approval Council.
On July 6, 2023, the Department
of Science and Technology and related units organized an Innovation Conference
to solve challenges in the fisheries industry
and launched the Ba Ria Fisheries Innovation Competition. – Vung Tau in 2023.
On June, 30, the Department of
Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a Council to accept
the topic "Collection and introduction of Vietnamese folklore in Ba Ria -
Vung Tau province". Dr. La Mai Thi Gia - University of Social Sciences and
Humanities - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City is this topic’s
manager. Attending the Council was Mr. Pham Quang Nhat - Director of Department
of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Council.
On May 24, 2023, the Department
of Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held the Emulation -
Commendation Council to select and propose to award "Excellent citizen of
Ba Ria - Vung Tau province" in 2023 in the field of scientific research.
Attending the council was Mr. Pham Quang Nhat - Director of Department of
Science and Technology, Chairman of the council.
Phu Quy Edor Longan achieved VietGap certification (31/05/2023)
On May 23, the Institute of
Agricultural Science for Southern VietNam in collaboration with the Department
of Science and Technology held a ceremony to announce the certification of crop
products in accordance with national standards of good agricultural practice
(VietGAP) for Edor longan products of Cooperative Group in Phu Quy hamlet, Hoa
Hiep commune, Xuyen Moc district. The program is part of the project
"Building an organic production model of VietGAP longan in Ba Ria-Vung Tau
province".
