In order to provide information, update knowledge to support connecting technological solutions, innovation and support for agriculture to businesses, cooperatives, and farmer households in the province as well as promoting innovation and start-up in the agricultural sector to increase productivity, quality, expand markets, and adding value to the agricultural industry in the BR-VT province , the Department of Science and Technology held a conference "Innovation in Agriculture: Connecting technological solutions and innovation for agriculture in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province" on September 29, in Chau Duc district, 

Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Chi Duc - Director of the Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection - Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Do Vu Khoa - Head of the Office of Promoting Entrepreneurship and Innovation - Department of Science and Technology, with the participation of enterprises, cooperatives, production and trading establishments of agricultural products inside and outside the province.

The conference attracted the participation of many units and businesses with nearly 20 booths from companies inside and outside the province. The booths focused on displaying and introducing typical rural products, traditional industries, technological solutions applied to agriculture, etc.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Chi Duc also introduced an overview of the current situation and orientation of agricultural development in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. He emphasized that building a developed agriculture with the goal of focusing on quality and efficiency, linking agricultural outputs with processing industry and closely connecting with the market; building areas for specialized crop cultivation, concentrated husbandry areas with crops and livestock as the province's key commodities, on the basis of optimal use of natural resources, rapid advancement of technology in production… He also disscussed some solutions for agriculture to achieve these goals.

Representatives of businesses also shared experiences, technology solutions, innovations applied to agriculture, effective e-commerce access strategies for small and medium enterprises in Vietnam. This contributes to inspiring innovation for people, as well as the needs of innovation, improving technology in production, business, and market expansion of local units.
