On May 24, 2023, the Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held the Emulation - Commendation Council to select and propose to award "Excellent citizen of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province" in 2023 in the field of scientific research. Attending the council was Mr. Pham Quang Nhat - Director of Department of Science and Technology, Chairman of the council.

Department of Science and Technology issued Document No.240/SKHCN-QLKHCN dated March 15, 2023 on the implementation and guidance for selecting individuals to apply for the title of "Excellent citizen of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province" in the field of scientific research in 2023 to agencies, units, enterprises and organizations in the province.

The Department of Science and Technology has received 06 applications for selection for 06 individuals from 04 agencies. The report on the achievements of individuals mainly related to the movement of creative labor emulation, scientific research, contests and technical innovation contests in the province.

After reviewing and evaluating the proposals of agencies, organizations and individuals, the council selected one typical and excellent individual following criterias.

Based on the opinions of the Council members, the Department of Science and Technology will make a proposal report to the Provincial Emulation - Commendation Council and the Provincial People's Committee to consider and award the title of "Excellent citizen of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province" in the field of scientific research in 2023.
