CMC Japan, a subsidiary company of Vietnam’s CMC Technology Corporation, on September 18 opened an office in Tokyo, the third of its kind in Japan, which is seen as a bold step to promote the giant’s AI Transformation Strategy in the East Asian country, affirming its pioneering role in the trend.
CMC Chairman Nguyen Trung Chinh said that Japan has not only played an important role in the corporation’s global operation strategy, but also been a key market of the firm over the past three decades, highlighting CMC’s success in Japan has been a foundation for it to expand operations in other challenging markets like the US and the EU.
The inauguration of the third office in Japan is a significant move in CMC’s development strategy, while affirming the corporation’s commitment to promote AI transformation, and provide Japanese partners with advanced technologies in their AI-driven digital transformation journey, he said.
Nguyen Duc Minh, Chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, held that CMC’s promotion of its AI strategy in Japan marks a milestone in the corporation’s and CMC Japan's development, while helping Vietnamese technologies reach out to the world, and serving as a symbol for the robust Vietnam – Japan comprehensive strategic partnership, which has developed strongly in various areas, with sci-tech-based business and economic collaboration being an important pillar.
He expressed his hope, and called on Japanese companies to continue working with CMC and other Vietnamese firms to achieve further successes, stressing that the embassy pledges support for Vietnamese companies who want to seek cooperation opportunities, and expand their market in Japan.
On the occasion, CMC Japan announced its membership of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), one of the organisations with great influence on Japan’s external economic affairs and economic development policies. The move is expected to open up strategic cooperation opportunities with Japan’s leading corporations, and affirm the corporation’s commitment to contribute to the socio-economic development in the host nation through advanced AI solutions.
Established in 1993, CMC owns more than 20 core technologies and provided digital solutions and services in the areas of cloud computing, AI, NLP and voice processing. It opened its first office in Yokohama in 2017, and the second in Osaka in 2021. Over the past seven years, CMC Japan has set up strategic partnerships with major firms in the country, helping them handle challenges, and improve positions in the digital economy./.
