On the 25^th of July, the Science Council organized to approve the theme “Research, design a device to resist horizontal oscillations by the main rudder for Con Dao Passenger-ship”. The Head of the subject is Master Tran Manh Tuan – Consultant and Design Ship Technology and Maritime Services Ltd, Co (SMC).

The research target of the theme is in order to design a device which resists horizontal oscillations for ships, kinds of passenger-ships; manufacture and test an equipment which stabilizes the oscillation for Con Dao passenger-ship, decreases from 10-15% of the swing to and fro. After hearing the Head of the subject reported upon the research ability as well as the effects that the subject can obtain, the Science Council reckoned the subject has a clear and practical aim; the study contents are basically suitable; If the research is successful, it is not only serving effectively for the locality but also having a possibility of increasing in number; and the product of the subject is rather specific, the application of the subject is for an obvious address. The Council also requests to change the subject’s name into: “Research, design and manufacture a system which stabilizes the horizontal oscillations by the main rudder for passenger-ships, applying for Con Dao Passenger-ship”.

The Council has marked the subject and the Council is unanimous that the subject has met the requirements for deploying research.
