Vietnamese and Malaysian businesses have signed eight memoranda of agreement to boost IT cooperation on supplying services, technology transfer, e-trade, e-government, e-banking and supporting the cooperative activities between the two countries.

Over 100 representatives from 35 leading Vietnamese and Malaysian IT businesses yesterday in Hà Nội partook in a forum on information and communications technology.

Addressing the opening of the forum, Minister of Information and Communications Lê Doãn Hợp highlighted the significance of the forum in further promoting the friendship between the two countries and effective cooperation between the two countries’ businesses in the IT sector.

The Minister also mentioned the project to convert Việt Nam into an IT power in the next ten years.

Malaysian representatives hailed the development achievements in Việt Nam and expressed their interest in cooperative prospects for large-scale IT projects in Việt Nam./.
