In September, province has more 2 ports which be put into operation. They are: PETEC and PTSC (phase III), so the total ports are working in province are 24 ones now. Among that, Thi Vai- Cai Mep area has 14 ports, with capacity of about 65 million tons; Vung Tau- Long Son has 9 ports, with capacity of 2.5 million tons/year and Ben Dam port with capacity of 0.1 million ton per year.

Since the beginning of this year till now, production of goods through ports has reached 35 million tons and over 51,000 turns of passengers. In which, 6.6 million tons are liquid cargo, 8.2 million tons are dry cargo, 4 million tons of container, 16 million tons of transit goods.
