BR-VT officials and enterprises promote investment in supporting industries in Japan

From 01 April to 08 April, the delegation of BR-VT officials and enterprises led by Ms. Tran Thi Huong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade had a business trip to Japan for the purpose of promotion of supporting industrial development program. Accompanied by representatives of the Industrial zones Authority, the Department of Foreign Affairs, some branches, localities and enterprises who are investing in industrial zones in the province

From 01 April to 08 April, the delegation of BR-VT officials and enterprises led by Ms. Tran Thi Huong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade had a business trip to Japan for the purpose of promotion of supporting industrial development program. Accompanied by representatives of the Industrial zones Authority, the Department of Foreign Affairs, some branches, localities and enterprises who are investing in industrial zones in the province.

On 02 April, the delegation participated in the workshop with Japanese investors in Kyoto City. Participants were Mr. Le Quoc Thinh - Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka and representatives of enterprises specializing in supporting industries of Japan.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Tran Thi Huong said today, the major industry was assembly, so components and spare parts were mostly dependent on import. The province was, therefore, aiming to attract investors in supporting industrial production to increase the source of components serving assembly industry establishments. After this trip, the province would promote investment in infrastructure, construction of in-depth industry to facilitate Japanese investors to invest in BR-VT.

On behalf of Japanese investors, a leader of Onkonoko Co., Ltd. says, “The Company is currently recruiting 10 students graduated in Ho Chi Minh city to work for the company. In the future, the company is making plan to build a factory in Vietnam. Thus, the company also desires to have a systematic connection system between enterprises to supply chains of related products ...”

After the workshop, the delegation visited the Japanese business in Kyoto.
