On June 10, 2014 Department of Science and Technology Baria – Vungtau Province held a meeting to select project "Building a model of water-saving irrigation according to Israel technology using solar energy for piper nigrum irrigation with 5,000 m2 scale."

Goal of project is to build a model of water-saving irrigation system (drip irrigation) according to Israel technology using automatically fertilizing care system to serve watering piper nigrum on scale area of ​​5,000 m2; ensure operating capacity of water saving irrigation system. Here is a saving and efficient model and also is general orientation of program for sustainable agricultural development to increase product quality and productivity, reduce costs; bring economic effect, contribute to implement policy of Vietnam Communist Party and State on precious natural resources and environment protection.

The Selection Council commented that project is new, highly feasible for BR-VT province, agreed to implement. It will be implemented within 8 months.
