Con Dao Island is the ideal place for laying eggs to Green sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas) and hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricate). From April to November every year, there are more than 400 mother turtles make nests and lay eggs on the sandbanks of Con Dao National Park. In the rush time of breeding season in July and August, there are about 20 mother turtles laying eggs each night.
