On the morning of May 17, State Agency for Technology Innovation in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology of BR-VT province held an Opening Ceremony of the technological supply and demand connection point of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. 

Attending the ceremony, on the side of the Ministry of Science and Technology, there were Mr. Pham Xuan Da - Director of the National Office in Southern Region; Ms. Tran Thi Hong Lan - Deputy Director of the State Agency for Technology Innovation; towards the Department of Science and Technology, there were Mr. Mai Thanh Quang - Director of the  Department of Science and Technology and representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, institutes and schools; enterprises that are inside and outside the province. This is an outstanding event in the series of events celebrating Vietnam Science and Technology Day 18.5.

Mr. Mai Thanh Quang, Director of Department of Science and Technology reported that BR-VT technological supply-demand connection point was built and operated along with the online technology exchange will contribute to promoting the operation of applications, transfer and innovation, quickly applying new scientific and technological advances to the real life; promoting the development of science and technology market. Additionally, based on that basics is to improve the competitiveness of technology, product quality and operational efficiency of organizations and businesses in BR-VT. At the same time, this is also a necessary activity to strengthen the integration of science and technology contributing to the province's socio-economic development.

After the ceremony, the Department of Science and Technology organized a seminar on "Technological supply and demand connection - Solutions for enterprises in applications and innovation" with the aim of applying new technologies and advanced technologies for production and people's life. In addition, it will create more conditions to connect research activities to production, business as well as to promote activities of commercialization of scientific and technological products, and to promote technological transfer into practice. Moreover, it will provide technological information, technological experts, and consulting operations on technology transfer and innovation for enterprises through technology supply and demand connection points. At the same time, the exhibition also organized shows of technologies, equipment and models, high-tech agricultural products to attract many units and businesses that are inside and outside the province.
