On June 12, the Department of Science and Technology organized an Advisory Council to evaluate and accept the results of the implementation of the topic "Building programs for the development of  science and technology market of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to 2020 and orientation to 2025 ”. Chairman of the council is Mr. Nguyen Kim Truong - Former Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology. The topic is chaired by MSc Nguyen Van Truc, the Center for Science and Technology Information and Application is the host agency.

The objectives of the topic include surveying needs, assessing the real situation of the science and technology market in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and proposing solutions to promote the development of science and technology market in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to 2020 and orientation to 2025.

After nearly two years of implementation, the topic has clarified and analyzed the factors affecting the development of science and technology market; systematized the theoretical and practical basis to build programs to develop the science and technology market of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to 2020 and orientation to 2025. In addition, the topic also provided views and solutions to develop the science and technology market of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province on the basis of promoting the province's comparative advantages, in accordance with the conditions and objectives of socio-economic development of the province. Additionally, the topic developped a list of applicable science and technology products, a list of technology suppliers, and a list of intermediaries; building a software module to support the connection of the provincial online technology exchange with a number of technology and equipment exchanges in the northern coastal region, serving the development of science and technology market of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

On behalf of the Council, Mr. Nguyen Kim Truong highly appreciated the achievements of the topic, proposed solutions closely to the local conditions. The Council assessed that the topic achieved its requirements; however, some modifications need to be implemented to complete the topic.
