Inaugurates the Cai Mep-Thi Vai International port (17/02/2013)

The Cai Mep-Thi Vai International Port was inaugurated Monday during a ceremony attended by the Ministry of Transport and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) The deep-sea port, which received investment from the transport ministry, broke ground in late 2008 and cost VND12,891 trillion ($619.76 billion), an amount provided by the JICA and reciprocal capital from the Vietnamese government.

Viet Nam is looking for solutions to ensure energy security after scientists warned that climate change would have strong impacts on energy demand and supply in the country....According to scientists, climate change would cause rising sea levels, rising temperatures, changing rainfalls and growing frequencies and intensities of extreme weather conditions. Viet Nam was one of countries to be hardest hit by climate change. Nguyen Ba Cuong, deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Institute of Energy, said at a workshop yesterday that climate change impacts could cause an increase in demand for energy.

Project helps farmers deal with climate change (23/01/2013)

Vietnam is at risk of becoming one of the most adversely affected countries by climate change, which could seriously affect the country’s booming economic growth. 100 calligraphers gather in Vung Tau (15/01/2013)

More than 100 people from 12 famous calligraphy clubs throughout the country grouped up in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau on January 12.
