On June, 30, the Department of
Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a Council to accept
the topic "Collection and introduction of Vietnamese folklore in Ba Ria -
Vung Tau province". Dr. La Mai Thi Gia - University of Social Sciences and
Humanities - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City is this topic’s
manager. Attending the Council was Mr. Pham Quang Nhat - Director of Department
of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Council.
On May 24, 2023, the Department
of Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held the Emulation -
Commendation Council to select and propose to award "Excellent citizen of
Ba Ria - Vung Tau province" in 2023 in the field of scientific research.
Attending the council was Mr. Pham Quang Nhat - Director of Department of
Science and Technology, Chairman of the council.
Phu Quy Edor Longan achieved VietGap certification (31/05/2023)
On May 23, the Institute of
Agricultural Science for Southern VietNam in collaboration with the Department
of Science and Technology held a ceremony to announce the certification of crop
products in accordance with national standards of good agricultural practice
(VietGAP) for Edor longan products of Cooperative Group in Phu Quy hamlet, Hoa
Hiep commune, Xuyen Moc district. The program is part of the project
"Building an organic production model of VietGAP longan in Ba Ria-Vung Tau
province".

On May 17, the Department of

On May 9, Mr. Dang Minh Thong,
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen
to the Department of Science and Technology and the Consulting Unit of the Sub-National
Institute of Agricultural Planning and Projection reporting on the project’s draft
"Application of science and technology advances in the period 2022-2026 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province".
On the morning of April 29, the
People's Committee of Con Dao district held a launching ceremony to deploy the
project "Research and application of
circular economy model for sustainable socio-economic development of Con Dao
district" in the period of 2022- 2025, orientation to 2030.
On April 20, 2023, the Center for
Information and Application of Science and Technology - Department of Science
and Technology in collaboration with the Provincial Women's Union organized a
thematic report "Women of the
province Ba Ria - Vung Tau with Intellectual Property - Promoting creativity
and innovation”. Attending the report, there were Mr. Tran Giang Khue -
Head of Southern Representative Office - Intellectual Property Office of Viet
Nam as the main reporter, along with nearly 100 delegates and guests who are
members of the Women's Union in districts, towns and cities in the province.
On March 13, 2023, the Department of Science and Technology of BR-VT
province held a council to appraise and accept the results of making the
project “Application of science and technology advances in the period of
2022-2026 in the province of BR-VT”. The unit in charge of implementing the
project is the Center for Science and Technology Information and Application
(Department of Science and Technology), the consulting unit is the Sub-National
Institute of Agricultural Planning and Projection.
On February 23, the delegation of
departments of BR-VT province chaired by the Department of Science and
Technology had a meeting with PVU to discuss the proposed contents of
cooperation. Attending the meeting was Mr. Pham Quang Nhat, Director of
Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh, Rector of PVU and
representatives of departments including Department o Home Affairs, Department
of Construction, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Planning and
Investment, Department of Education and Training, Department of Science and
Technology, Department Natural Resources and Environment.
