An innovation and startup festival in the Red River Delta (Techfest in the Red River Delta 2023) officially opened in Nam Dinh Province on May 11.

The event featured the participation of various leaders of central ministries and agencies, leaders of provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region and neighbouring localities, representatives from universities, organisations and enterprises, as well as international delegates.

Techfest in the Red River Delta 2023 is a major event in the chain of activities to promote the development of science, technology, and innovation in Nam Dinh and the whole country in general.

The festival features 89 pavilions displaying more than 1,000 products.

The event is expected to gather, introduce, and connect scientific, technological, and innovative products by organisations and individuals from both inside and outside the region.

Taking place until May 12, the festival features various vibrant activities such as the display of more than 1,000 scientific, technological, and innovative products, key products, and those under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme across the 89 pavilions.

At the opening ceremony for the festival, five technology transation contracts are signed.

In addition, a seminar themed “Linkage to boost innovation and startup in the Red River Delta”, a high-level forum on building an innovative startup ecosystem in the Red River Delta, and a science and technology conference on the Red River Delta will also be held during the festival.

Also at the ceremony, businesses signed five technology transaction contracts with a total value of nearly 50 billion VND.
