On May 9, Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to the Department of Science and Technology and the Consulting Unit of the Sub-National Institute of Agricultural Planning and Projection reporting on the project’s draft "Application of science and technology advances in the period 2022-2026 in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province".

According to the report of the Department of Science and Technology, the project’s draft  aims to research and evaluate the current situations, potential for development and applications of science and technology advances in the province. The draft also forecast trends and identifies specific tasks and solutions to promote research, application and transfer of scientific and technological achievements into production and people's lives.

At the same time, the project also contributes to the selection of appropriate S&T tasks, promotes the application of science and technology focusing on priority fields and products with strengths of the province in general and localities in particular. It also builds a series of scientific and technological application tasks that are systematic, breakthrough, influential to the economic development of each locality focusing on specific objects to create practical effects.

At the meeting, representatives of consulting units, departments and sectors proposed piloting and replicating models of science and technology application such as: group of 4.0 technology application models; group of biotechnological application models; group of models of application of processing and preservation technology of key products; other groups of S&T application models…

In conclusion, Mr. Dang Minh Thong asked the Department of Science and Technology to absorb the comments at the meeting to complete the project.
