On 20th  February, 2008, Organization Board of Technical Creativeness Competition of BR-VT held a closing ceremony to award a prize of  “Technical Creativeness Competition” in Ba Ria – Vung Tau in 2006-2007. The closing ceremony was hold in the meeting hall of Vietsovpetro (105 Lê Lợi St., Ward 6 – Vung Tau city) with the cooperation of the DOST, Provincial Science and Technique Association, Provincial Labour Association and  the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the province.

The Technical Creativeness Competition of BR – VT has been hold once per two years. This competition widely has popular and socio-economic meanings. It raises emulation movement for competition of technique creativity that is considered an important motive power to impulse productive development. 

There were 39 valid solutions out of 45 ones of organizations and individuals who took part in the competition in 2006-2007. Solutions mainly focused on areas of mining, geology, technology, health, environment, fishery, agriculture, IT and education. Based on the results from board of examiners, Organization Board announced 31 solutions that received awards including 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 8 consolation prizes. 31 solutions has been highly appreciated that had new, creative meanings and could be able to apply for highly economic and technical effects. In the area of education, 2 typical solutions out of 21 awarded ones named “Tiny explorer” of Ms. Mai Thi Thu Trang from Chau Thanh nursery ; and “ creating teaching aids from waste materials” of Ms. Tham Le Mai – Chau Thanh nursery. In the area of IT, the typical solution called “software to manage population and inhabitants in communes, wards and towns” edited by a group of authors named Bui Thuy Vu and Nguyen Van Tan who work in the Provincial Applied Science and Technology Center. In the area of fishery, the typical solution called “ twist conveyor belt to clean raw materials and semi-finished products after preliminary treatment of SURIMI” edited by a group of authors named Le Van Khanh, Lam Quang Thu, Nguyen Van Ut, Le Thanh Nghi who work for Con Dao Import- Export and Fishery Joint-Stock Company. In the new area of mining and geology, there are many highly appreciated solutions, the typical one is called “solution system for drilling and inhibiting alum that is added additive to inhibit COR and PAG to drill under Oligocene and Miocene layers” edited by a group of authors named Ngo Van Tu, G.I. Anikenko, Nguyen Cong Manh, Hoang Hong Linh who belong to the Institute of Science Study and Design, Vietsovpetro.

Attending and giving speech at the closing ceremony, Mr. Tran Minh Sanh, the chairman of the PPC highly appreciated the movement of creative labour of everybody. “Technical Creativeness Competition” has encouraged organizations, schools, and individuals who actively take part in studying to renew technology to apply in production and teaching. In addition, he praised relative organizations for well-organizing the competitions.

      After closing and giving awards, Organization Board mobilized another competition for the year 2008-2009 ./.
