Vietnam secures 10 grades up in global IT report

Vietnam ranks 73rd of 127 economies in the Global Information Technology Report 2007-2008 released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) on April 9, 10 grades up compared with the ranking a year earlier.

Vietnam ranks high on role of the government with regards to indicators compiled for the networked readiness index (NRI) in 2008.

On market environment,
Vietnam’s state of cluster development stands at 16, while on political and regulatory environment, the countries is placed at the 47th relating to effectiveness of law-making bodies and 40th in case of number of procedures to enforce a contract. On government usage, Vietnam ranks 37th in terms of government success in ICT promotion.
