Culture, art and sport activities to commemorate Journalist Day of Vietnam in Ba Ria - Vung Tau

* Yesterday afternoon, on July 16, Bien Dong Resort (Vung Tau city), Ba Ria - Vung Tau Journalism Association, Ho Chi Minh Journalism Association coordinated Ba Ria - Vung Tau Tourist Joint Stock Company to organize the 5th Vung tau couple-seat-bicycle race prize year 2008.
At this prize, 100 competitors from units: BR-VT Newspaper, Ho Chi Minh Television and Broadcasting, Ho Chi Minh Sport Newspapers, Military zone 7, Vinh Long, Dong Thap…took part in 3 contests of mixed doubles, men’s doubles above and under 45 years old.
The final result of mixed doubles contest was Trong Nhan – Kim Loan (Vinh Long) finished early, the following was Hiep Thanh – Kim Lien (Vinh Long), Minh Triet – Thu Huong (An Giang); men’s doubles under 45 years old: Quoc Thang – Quang Dung (Ho Chi Minh City) ranked the first, Hoang Nha – Hoai Anh (Military Zone 7) ranked the second and Thach Cuong – Quoc Viet (An Giang) was the third.

* In the same morning, the Ba Ria – Vung Tau Journalism Association organized the 1st 2008 Chinese Chess prize. The prize had 16 competitors from 4 branches of Journalist Associations directly under The provincial Journalism Association department, Ba Ria -Vung Tau Newspaper, The Provincial Television and Broadcasting and the General Printing Enterprise.
The prize had two contents: Comrade and Individual.
After one day of competition on the exchange and learning spirit, the prize was fully successful. In the result of comrade, the provincial Television and Broadcasting ranked the first prize; the General Printing Enterprise ranked the second prize; Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspaper ranked the third prize; in individual prize, Nguyen Khanh Dung (The General Printing Enterprise) ranked the first prize; Nguyen Thanh Thom (Ba Ria-Vung Tau Newspaper) ranked the second prize; Doan Viet (The provincial Journalist Department) ranked the third prize.

* In the evening of June 19, the branch of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspaper Association organized a karaoke contest festival to celebrate the 83rd Vietnam Revolution Newspaper Day.
More than 15 items, which was chosen from departments, sections of editorial office, brought a jubilant, ebullient atmosphere for the competition.
