Organised by Centre for Informatics and Scientific, Technological Information falling under Department of Science and Technology associated with Misoft, a company specialized in top security under the  Ministry of Defense at the Meeting Hall on the 7^th floor of VCCI, Vung Tau city on the morning of May 30, 2008.

After the Law on Electronic Transaction No. 51/2005/QH11 and other related Decrees and legal documentations instructing implementation of electronic transactions issued by the National Assembly and the Government that has created an important legal basis to enhance application of electronic transaction and enforcement of electronic signature. Meanwhile, electronic signature is a newly high technique matter that many organizations do not know how to apply in their transaction. For this reason, the aim of the seminar is to help understand electronic signature in terms of nature, legal basis, scope of application as well as steps for carrying out applied in practice. 

In the seminar, two topics were presented, as follows:

- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and application of PKI applied to information security presented by Mr. Vu Bao Thach, Ha Noi Misoft Vice General Director.

- Electronic Signature/Certified Matter and PKI presented by Mr. Phung Hai, Director of the Ho Chi Minh city Misoft Branch.

Through the content of the presentations, participants may understand soundly electronic signature, Certificate Authority (CA) of electronic signature, PKI as well as legal issues, techniques and information safety when electronic signature is applied. Besides participants were also provided with knowledge on steps for applying electronic signature and CA of electronic signature in practice.

With a lot experience of working in the fields of electronic business and information security, Misoft experts performed Demo using computer to create electronic signature and exchanged experience on technical issues as well as instructed participants in how to apply electronic signature in practice with the purpose of being more convenient for signing documentation.

The seminar attracted almost one hundred participants who are leaders and technical cadres from sectors and departments and enterprises within the province.
