The project  “Scalling up the model of applying S&T electronic information to serve Baria-Vungtau socio-economic development” was finished after successful 15-month deployment in 5 communes. The project was handed over to the Center of Informatics and S&T Information of Ba ria-Vung tau to implement and lead by Eng. Nguyen Kim Truong.

In the period from December 2006 to March 2008, there were total of five S&T electronic stations (eStation) set up in the following communes: Long Son (Vung tau city), Tan Hung (Ba ria town), Chau Pha (Tan Thanh district), Dat Do (Dat Do district) and Phuoc Tinh (Long Dien district). The project team completed quite a lot frameworks, such as trainning; establishing Website; applying and installing equipments; handling digital library with many science and technology information about agricultural procedure, medical, sea-products, culture–society issues, etc over to communes. New five eStations have added to nodes of the S&T information network that could practically serve local people.

The project was graded with distinction/good level by the check and acceptance committee of Ba ria -Vung tau province.
