VietNamNet Bridge – German Ambassador to Vietnam Rolf Schulze has said that to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations, the German Chancellor has decided to name 2010 “Vietnam Year in Germany”.

VietNamNet Bridge – German Ambassador to Vietnam Rolf Schulze has said that to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations, the German Chancellor has decided to name 2010 “Vietnam Year in Germany”.

The Ambassador said: “We are preparing for this programme. The two sides will have many cultural exchange activities. In 2009, a Vietnamese orchestra will participate in the German Music Festival and a German concert will be held in Vietnam in the same year.”

The Ambassador said in Asia, Vietnam is a significant partner of Germany. There are around 100,000 Vietnamese in Germany and a similar number of Germans living in Vietnam.

In September 2008, the Germany-Vietnam University will be inaugurated in HCM City. A German international school is scheduled to be built in Vietnam. The German Culture Centre is under construction as well.

According to Ambassador Rolf Schulze, these activities aim to further tighten the good relations between the two countries.
