On August 8th, Mr. Vo Thanh Ky, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Deputy Chief of Organization Board of World Youth Chess Championship 2008, presided over the Championship Prize Organization Board meeting.

On August 8th, Mr. Vo Thanh Ky, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Deputy Chief of Organization Board of World Youth Chess Championship 2008, presided over the Championship Prize Organization Board meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Phuc Loc, Vice Director of Department of Culture – Sport – Tourism announced the preparation for World Youth Chess Championship 2008 and some key missions which need to implement in the coming time.
Accordingly, all 12 articles have been deployed as scheduled: Established 6 sub-divisions to serve for the championship prize; successfully organized press conference in Ho Chi Minh city and Ha Noi capital to step up propaganda, broadcasted for prize; officially chose CIAT Advertising and Trade Affair Joint Stock Company (CIAT) is to consult and sponsor for the prize; urgently implemented repair for the Sporting Event Hall with heat resistance, noise, decorated the front, cover the roof, repair sewage system….
Addressing at the meeting, Mr. Vo Thanh Ky instructed all sub-divisions to check, adjust organization assignment to suit to reality conditions, which based on economy spirit; speed up propaganda and broadcast for this event; rapidly complete program script for Organization Board’s approval.
The Department of Culture – Sport – Tourism urgently supervises and speeds up the sporting event hall and installs more chairs as scheduled, finish prior to September 2008.

Early October, the Organization Board will organize a three-day training course for volunteers on communication, behaviour skills, preparing information of social – economic – cultural situation of Ba Ria – Vung Tau to introduce friends from other countries. The volunteers will work in group in order to pick up delegations from the airports, welcome at hotels, show or guide guests to the contest venue...
