VietNamNet Bridge - An information portal will be built soon to facilitate bilateral cooperation between software companies from Vietnam and Japan.
The initiative comes after a recent seminar on policy held in Hanoi as part of the Japan Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Day, which is co-hosted by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and the VINASA-Japan IT Cooperation Club (VJC).
VINASA Chairman Truong Gia Binh said the planned portal is expected to facilitate Vietnamese and Japanese software businesses’ access to supporting data.
According to Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department for Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Dung, the office will provide facilities and technologies for the construction of the portal while the contents will be undertaken by VJC.
At the workshop, VINASA representatives said
Japan is Vietnam’s strategic software partner and market as bilateral software trade value has seen annual growths of 40-50 percent in recent years.
VINASA forecast
Japan will surpass North America to become Vietnam’s largest software partner by 2010.
The two-day ICT event is the opening in a month of activities celebrating the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between
Vietnam and Japan.
