On the 20^th of June, The Chairwoman of the Science Council – Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department – carried out to check and take over the project: “Multiplying models of green productivity at populated community in Toc Tien Commune, Tan Thanh District”. The Head of the project is BSc Nguyen Van Hung – Center for Application of Advanced Scientific and Technology.

The project that is implemented includes two models: Constructing a model which improves Sind-crossbred cattle and bulls according to bio-chemical direction and a model which keeps control waste of people and animals, combines with bags for biogas and pits for compost. After 24 months of implementation, the project has got some satisfactory results as: from the beginning of investment with 23 cows and bulls, to December 2007 it has increased to 30 cows and bulls; constructed and installed 10 bags for biogas, gave support to build 15 pits for compost, built 10 septic tanks for 10 households in the site of the project, organized training courses to enhance their sense of protection the environment for 120 participations in the commune. Especially, many of the local inhabitants though they have not been chosen for the project, used their money to build the model which keeps control waste of people and animals, combines with bags for biogas and pits for compost, have had a part in decreasing the local environmental pollution. 

According to assessment of the Council, the project has basically got the goal which has been proposed at the beginning, that is the project has contributed to save energy, decrease the environmental pollution and step by step raise the quality of life of the local inhabitants.

The project has been ranked fairly good.
