Vietnam-China symposium on agriculture, rural areas closes

VietNamNet Bridge – Party officials from Vietnam and China wrapped up a three-day symposium on theoretical and practical issues related to agriculture, farmers and rural areas in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on Nov.2.

VietNamNet Bridge – Party officials from Vietnam and China wrapped up a three-day symposium on theoretical and practical issues related to agriculture, farmers and rural areas in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on Nov.2.
At the symposium, the 4 th of its kind jointly held by the Communist Parties of Vietnam (CPV) and China (CPC), delegates of both sides presented 20 reports focusing on the policies on agriculture, rural areas and farmers of
Vietnam in its renewal process and China in the reform and open-door period.

The reports also discussed the building of the grassroots political and administrative system in rural areas, new lifestyle in Vietnamese rural areas and the enhancement of farmers’ educational levels as well as issues on urbanisation and socio-economic matters in rural areas.
Participants raised new questions to Chinese and Vietnamese theorists and managers regarding the real situation in both countries for further research.
Concluding the symposium, Phung Huu Phu, Vice Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education and permanent Vice Chairman of the CPV CC Council of Ideological Theory, affirmed that the symposium is an opportunity and an effective method for the two communist parties to learn from each other to enrich the socialism building theory and practice in each country.

He said the symposium would contribute to promoting relations between the Vietnamese and Chinese parties and states.
