“Changing the Global Climate and rising high of sea water level” is the main content of the seminar on special subject which has been organized by Informatics and Information of Science and Technology Center on 16 December 2008. The report has been made by Dr. Nguyen Van Thang, Deputy Director of Hydrometeorological and Environmental Science Institute.

“Changing the Global Climate and rising high of sea water level” is the main content of the special subject which has been organized by Informatics and Information of Science and Technology Center on 16 December 2008. The report has been made by Dr. Nguyen Van Thang, Deputy Director of Hydrometeorological and Environmental Science Institute.

The main content of the report has been concerned with the problems: Adapting to the climate changing and development unshakeable; changing the Global Climate and sea water level rises high with the problems such as: changing the Global Climate – the big question of worldwide interest, the real situation of the change in Global Climate and sea water level rises high, causes of changing climate recently, changing climate in Vietnam… and impact of the change in climate to nature and life.

At the report, representatives of Departments and Sectors, businesses and leaders of the Districts and Towns in the Province have been heard Dr. Nguyen Thi Hien Thuan – Deputy Director of the Sub-Institute of Hydrometeorology and Environment presented the impacts of change in climate and sea water level rises high on the Southern Areas and Baria-Vungtau. According to the report, in Baria-Vungtau, every year the rainfall increases regularly, the following year is higher than the year before. At the same time, she gave some warnings of areas being flooded when sea water level rises high and forecasted the sea water level will be able to rise to 1 m in 2100.
