The scale of the project shall work at a capacity of 1,000 tones/day or 300,000 tones/year with the invested capital of 40 billion VND for 50 years on the area of 2 ha, the form of investment is 100% of the Company owned capital. The treatment technology is friendly with the environment, applied in accordance with self-contained model, automation of 70% and the whole of slag shall be recycled 100% without waste. After processing, there are products such as: scrap iron, additive for cement, clinker and cement brick. According to the Company, the technology for slag processing has been applied successfully by the Company for many years in Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Industrial Park.

According to assessment of the Council, the implementation of the project is very necessary because when it comes into operation, with advanced technology the factory shall process a great amount of waste from steel factories which are operating in the provincial area, contributing to clean the environment, at the same time producing scarce material resources which are scrap iron and additive clinker for steel and cement industries. At the same time, the project has the advantage of land-saving for burying coal residues, contributing to protect the environment. The Council has approved to carry out the project.
