The event is of great significance as Vietsopetro is preparing to celebrate its 28th anniversary of signing of inter-governmental agreement to establish the joint venture (June 19, 1981 – June 19,2009) and receive the Ho Chi Minh Order.

Vietsovpetro plans to pump 6.4 million tonnes of crude oil from Dragon and White Tiger fields during the remaining months of the year, put into action previously agreed oil and gas exploration projects, and conduct research to discover new oil and gas reserves.
