Vietnam seeks India’s help in IT development

A Vietnamese senior official has suggested that India increases cooperation with Vietnam in developing the software industry and human resources in this area.

Minister of Information and Communications Le Doan Hop made the suggestion during his talks with Indian Minister of Communications and Information Technology A. Raja, which formed part of his official visit from July 7-9 to the South Asian country – one of the world’s IT leaders.

Highly valuing developments in India ’s IT sector, Minister Hop also asked India to share managerial experiences and applications of IT solutions in State management.

He also sought India ’s assistance in building e-government and developing concentrated IT industrial zones in Vietnam .

Minister Raja spoke highly of the traditional friendship between India and Vietnam and affirmed that his country is willing to provide Vietnam with experiences as well as assistance in the training of human resources and infrastructure development for the communications and IT industries.

At their talks, the Vietnamese and Indian officials also discussed a wide range of issues relating to communication and information technology.

During the visit, the Vietnamese officials visited the Indian Ericssion Company.
