On October 13, at the meeting hall of the provincial Party Committee, the provincial People"s Committee held a meeting in commemoration of Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day (13-10) and Lighthouse award in 2008.

In the recent years, the enterprise community of the province has been growing up in both quantity and quality. From the number of more than 3,000 enterprises in 2005, with registered capital of VND1.7 billion per enterprise on average, so far the province has nearly 6,000 enterprises with total registered capital of more than VND9 billion per enterprise on average.

In the first nine months of 2009, the important economic spheres of the province maintained growth and achieved the growth target: Total domestic product reached about VND27,891 billion, increased by 8.4% compared to the same period, the industrial production value reached VND34,533 billion, increased by 9.34%, the value of trade and services reached VND5744 billion, raise up 21.82% ...

Addressing at the meeting, Mr. Ho Van Nien, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, hoped enterprises, entrepreneurs to continue to overcome difficulties, innovate, take advantage of every opportunity to overcome challenges; make use policies of investment stimulation, consumption, support and incentives by the Government to promote business production activities; intensify joint venture, association, penetrate into sectors of production, services with high technology to exploit potentialities of the province; enhance sense of community through the successful implementation of obligations to the state budget, care about employees’ life, actively participate in and response to the social charity, contribute with the State to ensure social security ...

Taking this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee awarded the Lighthouse in 2008 for 10 excellent enterprises and 11 typical enterprises. This is the most valuable prize of the provincial People’s Committee for enterprises operating in the fields of production, business and services in the province.

Also on this occasion, with the authorization of the State President, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Member of Central Party, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People"s Council awarded the Second-Class Labour Medal to Mr. Hoang Duc Thao, Chairman and CEO of Ba Ria -Vung tau Urban Sewerage and Development One Member Limited Company (Busadco) as for many outstanding achievements in the development of the enterprise and the locality in 2009.

After awarding, participants had an exchange with the typical female entrepreneurs and Mrs. Vietnam Pageant 2009.

lso in the meeting, entrepreneurs, enterprises contributed to the Relief Fund for the flood Victims in the Central with the amount of over VND300 million.
