Seoul International Invention Fair 2009 (SIIF 2009) (South Korea) decided to award the special gold cup and the international accreditation to Chairman cum General Director of BR-VT Urban Sewerage and Drainage Company (BUSADCO) Hoang Duc Thao, Head of many scientific topics have been widely used in many big cities in Vietnam. The exhibition was held by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Korea Invention Promotion Association, the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), the exhibition attracted 463 excellent scientific works from 30 countries and territories around the world.

This is the fifth time, the VIFOTEC Fund nominated Vietnam scientific works and was the first time a Vietnamese individual awarded the Special Prize for the effective scientific research, practical applicability works.

In addition to prize for individual, the Busadco also awarded the Gold medal for the research, manufacture and application works of rainwater collection system and new-style septic task in the urban areas and the Silver medal for dredging winches for drainage system of the urban areas in Vietnam.
