On 24 December, Mr. Ho Van Nien, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, the Provincial Tourism Association and the Vungtau Imperial Hotel on the New Year call ceremony for tourism industry; the International Gastronomic Festival 2010 and the 2^nd International Kite Festival 2010 in Vung Tau.

Accordingly, the tourism’s New Year call ceremony of the provincial leaders will take place in the Ocean Park - Bien Dong, Vung Tau city in the morning of 01 January, Year of the Tiger 2010 (14 February 2010). The 2^nd International Kite Festival in Vung Tau will be held from 24 on 29 March 2010, it is expected to attract over 300 kite artisans from more than 30 countries and territories around the world. The international gastronomic festival will be held at Thuy Van street, Back Beach, Vung Tau city, from 21 to 25 July 2010. The festival will attract participation of 80 countries and territories worldwide; 60 provinces and cities and 40 big hotels, restaurants throughout the countries as estimated.
