On 19 January, engineer Vu Viet Chien, Director of HT Industry Joint Stock Company (Dong Xuyen Industrial Zone) received the 3rd prize of the 10th Vietnam Scientific & Technological Creative Prize (VIFOTEC 10) with the topic "Fabrication of Oil Platforms and TCM – Total Construction Management”. This is the only one of Ba Ria - Vung Tau was awarded this time.

The "Fabrication of Oil Platforms and TCM – Total Construction Management” project was researched and offered solutions of fabrication, installation, maintenance and operation of oil and gas exploitation safely from processes of engineering to maintenance during exploitation offshore in a thorough, synchronous and systematic manner (softwares of the largest petroleum corporations in the world only offer safe solutions in conformity with independent needs in each specific and individual periods). Engineer Vu Viet Chien researched this project while he was still working for Cuu Long JOC.
