Vietnam and Sweden signs MoU on agricultural cooperation

A ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Cao Duc Phat and the Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam, Rolf Bergman, was held in Hanoi on June 2nd.
Accordingly, Sweden will continue to support Vietnam in agricultural production.  Particularly, Sweden will share information, knowledge and experience in areas related to agriculture and rural development.

The MoU notes that state agencies from both sides will boost cooperation in fishery, irrigation food hygiene and safety, and new breeds research.

Reportedly, Sweden over the past 15 years, has allocated nearly US$ 100 million for agricultural programs in Vietnam; half of which was invested in forestry.
