According to Xuyen Moc district’s Chamber of Industry and Trade, till the end of September 2010, the enterprises in the district have processed more than 2,800 tons of raw cashew nuts, reached over 80% yearly plan.

Among that, cashew factory under the Provincial Forestry One Member Company Ltd,. has processed more than 1,500 tons, the rest one was processed by private establishments. More that 95% cashew production has been exported to the world markets.

As known, in 2010, thanks to the cashew price in the world markets increased more than 20% over the average price in 2009. So the establishments and enterprises which process raw cashew in the district have reached profit higher than the precious years.

At the moment, Xuyen Moc district has some 400 workers and employees are processing raw cashew with average income is from VND 1.3 million to 1.5 million per month.
