In 2010, fishers in the district exploited 90,550 tons of seafood products, reaching more than 100% of the plan, by 98% over the same period last year, according to Long Dien District People"s Committee.

In 2010, fishers in the district exploited 90,550 tons of seafood products, reaching more than 100% of the plan, by 98% over the same period last year, according to Long Dien District People"s Committee.

On aquaculture, in 2010, the whole district harvested 450 tons, reaching 100% of the plan and increased nearly 24% as compared with last year. In 2010, Long Dien District in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to open training courses on transfer of science and technology, fishing and preservation of seafood products for fishers.
