CPV Central Committee convenes 15th Plenum

The Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee (CPVCC), 10th tenure, convened its 15th Plenum on January 9 in Hà Nội. This is the last meeting of the 10th Central Committee.
The meeting will review and decide key issues, such as the supplementation of candidates for alternate members of the 11^th CPVCC, introducing personnel for the Presidium and the Secretariat of the 11^th National Party Congress, and the 10^th CPVCC’ Report on the personnel preparation for the 11^th CPVCC

The meeting will review and decide key issues, such as the supplementation of candidates for alternate members of the 11^th CPVCC, introducing personnel for the Presidium and the Secretariat of the 11^th National Party Congress, and the 10^th CPVCC’ Report on the personnel preparation for the 11^th CPVCC.

Addressing the meeting, Secretary General Nông Đức Mạnh said that after the 14^th plenum, the Politburo has focused on the yet preparations for the upcoming Party Congress, particularly the amendments of the draft documents to be submitted at the Congress.

The Party leader also called on delegates to raise their high sense of responsibility and uphold democracy for perfecting the CPVCC’s decisions and preparing thoroughly for the success of the 11^th Party Congress.
