Tan Cai- Cai Mep Port: First entrance in Lunar New Year by welcoming larger vessels

CYKH shipping line sailed from Europe, and first entered Tan Cang – Cai Mep port in the Year of the Cat by the import-export shipment undertaken by the Hanjin Xiamen ship, with tonnage of 80,800 DWT. Imported output is 144 TEUs, and exported out of 44 TEUs. This shipment landed at 17:45, 06 February 2011, i.e. 04 Lunar New Year – 2011.

Mr. Tran Khanh Sinh, Director of Tan Cang - Cai Mep Port, said in the early days of the Year of the Cat – 2011, Tan Cang - Cai Mep port has consecutively welcomed the first vessels of shipping companies for the lines from U.S. west coast and Europe.

In which, the vessel "made the first entrance" in this Year of the Cat landed at 15:00, 04 February 2011, (i.e. the second day of the Lunar New Year) was the vessel CSAV CSAV"s PARAMBY of the NORASIA carrier, sailed directly to the U.S. west coast. The vessel has 41,500 DWT, received 410 TEUs of exports from Vietnam.

The Grand Alliance also launched the first shipment in Lunar New Year 2011 with OOCL Britain vessel with a tonnage of 67,958 DWT, transported152 TEUs of goods to Tan Cang - Cai Mep port and received 1088 TEUs of goods to export to U.S. west coast. This vessel docked in Tan Cang – Cai Mep at 07:00am, 05 February 2011 (i.e. 03 Lunar January 2011).
