BR-VT province has currently 150/8,125ha vegetable land managed according to Vietgap quality and safety standard, accounting for 18.25% rate, according to BR-VT Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

According to the evaluation of the agricultural sector, the model of safe vegetable production under Vietgap standard give 2-3 times higher productivity, economic efficiency higher 1.5 times than growing vegetables in traditional methods, relying on vegetables consumption of restaurants and supermarkets inside and outside the province in the last time, arable land for safe vegetables is not developed and replicated. In the future, the agriculture sector, therefore, will expand these models in order to contribute to improve the quality of agricultural products, stabilize income for farmers.
