There are wide doors for the two sides to double the current inappropriate two-way trade turnover of US $2 billion in the coming time, the PM said, adding that he hoped the new Ambassdor would support the issue.  

Besides economic aspect, Mr. Dũng expected that Ambassador Antony Stokes would contribute to boosting education linkages between Việt Nam and the UK. The host leader took the occasion to recommend that the UK should remove visa strict regulations on Vietnamese students and speed up construction of educational establishments in Việt Nam.

Ambassador Antony Stokes promised to pay greater attention to the PM’s suggestions, especially for more Vietnamese students to study in the UK.

The Ambassador also affirmed that the UK will continue to providing ODA to the Southeast Asian country./.
