PM Dũng made the statement during his meeting with UN Resident Coordinator in Việt Nam, John Hendra, in Hà Nội on April 26.

The Government chief explained that Việt Nam is implementing a package of solutions to rein in inflation and social welfare, especially for most vulnerable groups, the country’s first priorities.

He spoke highly of John Hendra’s valuable contributions to boost the relations between Việt Nam and the UN.

Mr. John Hendra, who has ended his working term in Việt Nam, highlighted the country’s tremendous socio-economic achievements, including poverty reduction, international integration, and fulfillment of almost all UN-backed MDGs.

The UN will continue supporting Việt Nam to realize socio-economic targets and MDGs, he stressed.
