Hanoi starts work on first software technology park

Construction of Hanoi’s first software technology park invested by Hanel Company Limited began at the Sai Dong eco-urban area, Long Bien district on April 23.

The 43 ha park is designed by two Japanese designers – Azusa Sekkei Co., Ltd and Espad Co., Ltd, with the most advanced technologies in terms of information infra s tructure, the application of clean energy and environment.

Construction of Hanoi’s first software technology park invested by Hanel Company Limited began at the Sai Dong eco-urban area, Long Bien district on April 23.

 

The 43 ha park is designed by two Japanese designers – Azusa Sekkei Co., Ltd and Espad Co., Ltd, with the most advanced technologies in terms of information infra s tructure, the application of clean energy and environment.

 

The park is divided into seven functional zones, including sofware outsourcing and research centre, a sof t war e technology training schoo l , a five-star hotel and commerce centre complex and a housing area for experts and technicians.

 

The project will be able to provide working space for 15,000 technicians and housing for 5,000 people , sa id Nguyen Quoc Binh, Hanel Company General Director, adding that once being put into operation, slated for early 2014, the project is expected to reap 1 billion USD in revenue from software production.

 

Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, Nguyen The Thao, Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee, required relevant departments, branches and sectors to create favourable conditions for the project’s investors as well as constructors during building./.
