Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO) will launch an air route from the Mekong delta city of Can Tho to Con Dao island and vice versa from June 1.
VASCO, a Vietnam Airlines member, is scheduled to provide four flights per week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The flight on ATR72-500 aircraft takes about 40 minutes with a single trip price of VND 400,000 (roughly US$20).
Earlier, VASCO launched an air route from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao and vice versa with 24-28 flights a week on 65-seat aircraft.
Vietnam Airlines and Air Mekong are operating air routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao and vice versa.
Con Dao island is 180km off the southern coastline of Ba Ria Vung Tau.
