The Government has recently assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) to draft a master planning on bio-diversity preservation until 2020.
The draft master planning to be approved by 2013 by the Prime Minister is seen as part of continuous efforts Vietnam has made to implement its Law on Bio-diversity.

The MONRE was also asked to develop a national strategy for marine bio-diversity preservation until 2020 and a related national action plan until 2015, then submit them to the PM for approval by 2012.

It is said that some projects relating to bio-diversity observation and alien organism prevention and control have been introduced after the Law on Bio-diversity took effect.
