According to Vietsovpetro Joint Venture (VSP), at 0:00 am, 27 June 2011, well-testing at the Mioxen layer, depth of 3,377-3,396 meters, well 50X, Northwest of Bach Ho oilfield gave a strong natural flow of oil, with the output of 4560 barrels/ day.

This new oil and gas reservoir is independent with the oil and gas discoveries at the Bach Ho field’s vault. This success confirms the correct direction of VSP in the exploration of promising areas at the block 09-1, will contribute to increase the reserves as well as complete the VSP’s production in 2011, and welcome the 30th anniversary of VSP’s establishment.
