To ensure traffic order and safety as well as to build traffic culture in Vung Tau City, deal with violations of traffic laws and criminal prevention on the city roads. The Traffic Safety Department and the Vung Tau city People"s Committee projected to install camera monitoring system. In Phase 1 of the project, Vung Tau City will expedite a pilot installation of 23 cameras worth about VND5 billion.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Manager of Vung Tau Urban Management Department, said cameras will be installed in the South airport in Phase 1, the routs often have traffic accidents or major traffic flow, complex security and order. Time for installation is about 6 weeks, the project is expected to begin deploying in mid-August and complete installation by October.

Camera system will help control the flow of vehicles on roads, gradually modernize monitoring, and handling violations, reduce the Police force on the road and limit the negativeness, harassment in punishment. Vung Tau city people show their advocate of this project.
