The unique selling point of this product is its accuracy in finance and administration management, user detail records, web history storage, key log-in vantage and virus detection.
The software took 10 long years to develop and was subsequently certificated for quality from the Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in June 28 this year.
Tran Dinh Duc, a student majoring in information technology was the brains behind this product and is presently the Director of ‘Cyber Station Manager’ (CSM) Products.
Early in 2002, while working as a software developer and owner of a cybercafé, he thought of creating software that could help cybercafé owners’ relief in their normal work pressure.
He utilized a software developing tool named Visual C to make the first version of CSM.
Experiments on CSM 1.0 to tackle difficulties in internet service management, user administration and virus detection in his cybercafé proved successful.
The convenience of this software drew the attention of nearby cybercafé owners. Some used this in their cybercafés to calculate costs, doing away with the time consuming habit of manual calculations.
The popularity of CSM became evident only in 2005 when VNG Corporation, the most famous Vietnamese online service provider, decided to buy its copyrights.
Since then many changes have been made to the software to upgrade its quality and usage. The increasing number of customers is proof and justifies its consistent efforts to constantly improve.
Xuan Thong, an owner of a cybercafé in Ho Chi Minh City said he felt more secure using ‘CSM’ in his business rather than ‘Easy Café’, a management software made by a Turkish company.
Many foreign enterprises, besides domestic ones endorsed confidence in the CSM product.
CSM software not only provides cybercafé owners convenience in management but also helps the government minimize negative effects of internet usage in society.
