Petrovietnam Fertilizer & Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) told the news that this company would export 40 thousand tons of fertilizers including 35,000 tons of Phu My urea and 5,000 tons of Phu My NPK into the Cambodian market during the 12 months. According to the current fertilizer prices, the value of 40,000 tons of fertilizer is about more than USD20 million.

Since establishment of the representative office in Phnom Penh in May 2010, PVFCCo has sold about 6,000 tons of Phu My urea for companies in Cambodia which have import licenses. The company also continues to implement technology transfer programs in Takeo, Kandal, Kampong Chhnang and Battambang provinces.

Reportedly, the agricultural sector in Cambodia presently consumes each year more than 700,000 tons of fertilizer, in which urea accounts for only 1 / 3, the rest are NPK, DAP and other fertilizers.
