The Forbes magazine (USA) has published a list of the top 200 small and medium enterprises in Asia - Pacific region for sales and profit growth. Overcoming 15,000 companies surveyed from 14 countries and territories in Asia, Petroleum Equipment Assembly & Metal Structure J.S.C (PVC-MS) has become one of Vietnam"s 10 companies reckoned in this list. The Forbes selects the list of the top companies based on based on both criteria - revenue and growth. To qualify for the Top 200, companies must have annual sales from USD5 million to USD 1 billion and listed on the stock market at least one year. Then, the Forbes continues a careful selection based on rate of profit and revenue growth as well as profitability ratio on equity within three years. Another criterion is also important to make choices hat is the management capabilities of enterprises to overcome difficulties of economic fluctuations since 2008. Three years ago, PVC-MS had the impressive transformation. From a State-owned enterprise, playing a role of subcontractor to perform professional services for construction and installation of oil and gas industry, PVC-MS has now become the general contractor with a system of modern and synchronous facilities, dynamic, skilled and professional workforce, the growth is always doubled than the previous year. In 2008, PVC-MS attained total revenue of VND113 billion, profit of VND9.5 billion. In 2010, the total revenue of VND489.29 billion, up 360%, profit of VND 117.2 billion, putting up 123%. The average income of employees reached VND9.49 million / month, up 183% over the year 2008. In 2011, PVC-MS is expected to achieve VND 1,108 trillion of revenue, profits of VND 150 billion and income of employees is over VND 10 million/ capital/ month.
